Flutterbyes....

Just a quick page that I made with the Forever in Time: Glitter Garden paper collection.

I used the back-side of a page which was completely mat and cut-out the butterflies from the other side (of a second copy of the same paper.... obviously... lol) I also added some shine by using my Versamark pen and embossing some faint swirls that were already in the background all around the page.

The green strip says: Love is the best gift in my life.... but we can't make it out on the picture. I also added a little liquid pearls and stickles for detail, cause you can never have enough shine and sparkle :)

Now off I go to make some August Birthday cards... Seems like all the kids I know were born in August :) LOL!  Including my oldest for whom I purchased a digi stamp from Mo's which is truly representative of my soon-to-be 10 year-old. Can't wait to share :)

More to come soon :)

Thanx for visiting!

My Little Angel

Unfortunately, I can't share my Mother's Day creations just yet... Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise :) So, instead, here is a page with my beautiful little angel Andrea. The picture was taken 3 years ago when she still let me tie her hair up into knots...

Don't you just love the Bella Blvd «Estate Sale» paper collection? I just had to HAVE it!!!

I was totally inspired by The Sweet Stop's SSS107 sketch:

But I couldn't stop there... I also entered the following challenges:
(in no particular order...)

Feel free to visit my challenge page if you ever need a little creative nudge!

Can't wait to read your comments!
Thanx again for visiting!

«Petit Homme»... What a Little Wine and Paper Can Do to You...

What better way to spend a Saturday evening without kids or men, than to open a bottle of wine and do a little scrappin`? I know, spending Sunday afternoon with another glass of wine, some friends and some more paper! What a wonderful creative weekend it has been! Here is the double-page I made on Saturday:

(Once again I'm sorry for the orientation of my pic but Blogger still doesn't have a simple solution for rotating them... )

(There's really nothing to understand as to why one pic is uploaded this way and the other that way...)

My paper flowers are handmade with SU cardstock and ink...

The paper is from: Forever in Time «Bear Essentials»; Basic Grey «Life of the party»; It's the Little Things «Spring Fever»; Beach Bum «Boardwalk» and Bazzill cardstock.

For the title I used Maya Road chipboard letters which I inked with SU craft ink and embossed to add a little shine :)

So that's it for now.. If ever anyone has a SIMPLE solution for my picture orientation problem PLEASE leave a comment :) Thanx again for encouraging my madness!

«Neuseke» or Little Nose

«Neuseke, neuseke, neuseke!» a special moment between baby Jake and his Grandfather from the other side of the ocean...

I based this page on the wonderful sketch number 147 provided by Friday Sketchers:

sketch - Page 017

And I must admit, this is the first project that I am satisfied with... I guess we are all our worst critics :)

Oh! and before I forget, I have to mention: There’s a new challenge blog in town with articles, swaps, interviews, videos, challenges, great prizes and MORE! Check out Lily Pad Cards! [Link: http://www.lilypad.inlinkz.com/] The contest rules are quite simple and the prizes are absolutely AWESOME!!

Fot the curious:
I used SU cardstock as well as the «So Cute» stamp set for my bunny background.
The patterned paper, the paper flowers, pearls and cut-out were all bought at my corner dollar store and the little silver hearts are silver Liquid Pearls (which I adore).

Thanks so much for encouraging my madness :)

The Pumpkin Patch Kid

When I first saw «Pat in the pumpkin patch» from Mo Manning's digi collection I was totally inspired! Obviously, the link between the stamp and my pic was very easy to make.

The sketch I used is by The Sweet Stop Challenge Blog: SSS102 (http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/2011/04/sss102-april-2.html)

for some reason Blogger won't upload this pic in the right orientation... but I prefer its color and light....

«Pat in the Pumpkin Patch» by Mo Manning is mounted in 3d... and colored in Crayola crayons :) I still love the smell of wax crayons! I just can't stop myself from using them... the trick is to iron the image once your done (put a paper napkin between the image and the iron) this fixes the wax onto the paper.
All the embellishments are from Forever in Time as well as the cardstock and the colored paper which is from their Animal Frolic collection. The orange textured paper is from American Crafts.

And now for the challenges I just couldn't resist entering (in no particular order):
Stamp Something's «April Digi Day» challenge:
Charisma Cardz' «Bling and Sparkles» challenge:
Crafty Emma's «For the Children» challenge:
and finally...
The Sweet Stop's  «SSS102» sketch challenge:

Thanks again for visiting and encouraging my madness!
