WOYWW? -118.... simply pooped!!

Been back to work for a whole month now and I must admit that I miss my scrappin corner more than ever! This week is a rough one, I'm starting to think that all the energy inside me is completely drained! If I don't set off to bed soon I'll probably end up like a Sims character and simply fall where I'm standing and snooze until my energy bar fills up again! :)  Nonetheless, I love my job and I know I'll get through this week just like all the others :)

So, WOYWW? Well, this week I finally finished my daughter's well-overdue birthday card, which I am rather proud of. You can visit my last post for the card details.

I've also been preparing my order for my first Stampin' Up club meeting at the end of the month. Just can't wait!!! There are soooooo many lovely stamps... but up to now I've got my mind set on the tiny tags kit with assorted punch... can't wait to spend a little dough! Hey! all this hard work has to have its good side! LOL!

This week I have a special order from my man's grandma in Belgium.  She must have told him 5 times on Skype that she wanted a homemade card for her 88th birthday. I guess I'd better get to work... but what stamps to use?? Hmmm, isn't that a fun dilemma?

Hope you all have a great week! And don't forget to visit Julia at The Stamping Ground to know what this is all about!!

Thanx a million for your visit and for encouraging my madness!

10 years...

10 years... I can't believe it's already been 10 years!! It's in occasions like these that you realize just how much you wish you could stop time. Andrea, my oldest, celebrated her birthday on August 2nd but with my going back to work, I only just finished her card today... I know, I'm an unworthy mom, but at least she gets another birthday surprise :)

The image is «Video Girl» by Mo Manning. She just happened to bare a slight resemblance to the birthday girl:

I added a little glossy accents on her eyes for a little shine :) and colored her with my prisma color pencils.

I even got to be a little creative with her cake (which is the easiest cake recipe to make AND is absolutely scrumptious!!)

Who doesn't like chocolate, whipped cream and raspberries??

I sure am lucky to have such a wonderful, healthy daughter! I just wish seeing her grow up didn't have to mean that I have to get more and more grey hairs :) LOL!!

Happy Birthday Didi, Mom loves you more than you can ever imagine!

In case anyone wants to try it: cake recipe here :) it's in french but if anyone needs translating just let me know :)

Thanks again for visiting :)
